AWE plays a crucial role in nuclear defence, providing the warheads for the UK’s nuclear deterrent. They operate from four sites across the UK and have some of the most advanced research, design and production facilities in the world.
To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, we created a film focussed on Maverick, one of the engineering apprentices at AWE. Using the Arri Alexa and slider, we slowly pan in on Maverick as he tells us why he chose the apprenticeship. Cut in with other footage from the engineering department we created a film that celebrated and showcased one of the oldest apprenticeship schemes in the country.
