UEA wanted to encourage more applications to their literature course and answer the question ‘why study literature at UEA’ by plunging the viewer into a discussion about literature itself.
Working with the Literature department, we collated quotations from great writers regarding ‘Where Literature Lives’, then assembled a talented group of their students to film their discussions on the theme. We brought fragments of their conversations to life with animation and footage of UEA’s archive material, inspired by the titles from Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s ‘Delicatessen’ and Guy Ritchie’s ‘Sherlock Holmes’.
