STOP MOTION

Stop motion is an animation technique that has been used almost as long as animation itself, but it is still as eye catching as it ever was.

WHAT IS STOP MOTION?

Stop motion (also known as stop frame) is an animation technique that physically manipulates an object that appears to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence. Yes it takes a very long time, yes its worth it!

A NEW ERA

Stop Motion is a technique which has been in use almost as long as animation itself, but the classic technique is constantly being revitalised to find new uses in film and advertising. As more and more of the animation and imagery we see on a day to day basis is computer generated, stop motion is becoming a simple way of giving your film a more organic, handmade look.

A RANGE OF APPLICATIONS

Constructing the video from incrementally different shots of real objects, we shoot the stop motion on high quality DSLR cameras in our studio, bringing almost any object you can imagine to life. More complex scenes can be used for storytelling and narrative driven TV commercials and unique music videos. Alternatively this traditional technique can be used extremely simply and effectively for recipe films or fun, quirky explainer videos, never failing to lend your brand a distinctive tone of voice.
