Concept:

To credit 80 year old Edna Smith with the inspiring work that she has put into Home-Start since she retired. Surprising Edna on Mother’s Day to celebrate how she has been a mother to countless people.

How we achieved it:

We dedicated a lot of time to making sure we really drew out the emotion from the story we were telling until we were satisfied that no one could watch the edit without a lump in their throat. The film clocked 1.7 million views on Facebook and a further 200,000 on YouTube, and the story of Edna’s cinema surprise was also covered on several national newspapers.
